Welcome to the Thirteen Annual Disability Art Exhibition
This exhibition highlights the artistic talents and abilities of children and adults with disabilities and seeks to promote access to artistic expression for those within the disability community and a means of self-employment.
Each October, National Disability Employment Awareness Month celebrates America’s workers with disabilities and reminds employers of the importance of inclusive hiring practices. This year marks both the 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the 75th anniversary of the commemoration which includes people with all types of disabilities in addition to inclusive employment and self-employment opportunities.
Art in of itself is important to develop creativity, adaptability, and self-expression but also provides a means to self-employment and independence.

ADA30 Commemorative Art Gallery
The City of Los Angeles Department on Disability (DOD) celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act on July 26, 2020. Ideas, emotions, and revolutions big and small have all been captured and expressed in works of art including the commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the signing of the ADA. We highlighted the artistic talents and abilities of children and adults with disabilities with the yearly Disability Art Exhibition.
