Angel City Sports
The mission of Angel City Sports is to create sports opportunities for adults, children, and veterans with physical differences and impairments. Our goals are to encourage physical ACTivity and demonstrate LEADership to strengthen the adaptive sports movement. Our initial programming focus is on Southern California, but our events and programming will draw athletes from all over the country.
California Adaptive Rowing Programs (CARP)
California Adaptive Rowing Programs (CARP) provides instruction and training for competitive and recreational opportunities in the sport of rowing to physically and developmentally challenged individuals. Participation in physical activities is essential to prevent people with disabilities from surrendering themselves to confinement. Participants gain self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment.
Los Angeles lost a pillar in Disability Sports on June 22, 2020 when 3x Paralympian and Marine Veteran Angela Madsen (60) passed while attempting her dream of rowing across the Pacific Ocean solo. She will long be remembered for many things including founding the California Adaptive Rowing Programs (CARP) so that other adaptive athletes can participate in the sport.
Hearts For Sight Foundation
The Hearts for Sight Foundation (HFS) is a non-profit 501c(3) organization with the mission to break down barriers to health and fitness that restrict the blind and visually impaired, so that they may pursue physical, mental, and emotional wellness.

Inclusion Matters by Shane's Inspiration
We are an international non-profit fostering a bias-free world for children with disabilities through the creation of inclusive playgrounds and educational programs that unite children of all abilities worldwide. Today, Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration has grown into a powerful worldwide network of inclusive, sensory- and literacy-rich playgrounds with more on the way. Our mission has taken us to Mexico, Israel, Canada, Ecuador, Russia, Argentina, South Africa, Armenia, the Dominican Republic and beyond. Once the playgrounds open, we continue working with communities to bring social inclusion programs onto the playground and into schools!
Our team has had the honor of partnering with organizations, local governments, and families worldwide to design and build inclusive playgrounds. International Paralympic Committee (IPC)
Vision: Make for an inclusive world through Para sport.
Mission: To lead the Paralympic Movement, oversee the delivery of the Paralympic Games and support members to enable Para athletes to achieve sporting excellence.
Founded on 22 September 1989 as an international non-profit organisation, the IPC is an athlete-centred organisation composed of an elected Governing Board, a management team and various Standing Committees and Councils. Since 1999 we have been headquartered in Bonn, Germany.
The IPC’s primary responsibilities are to support our 200 plus members develop Para sport and advocate social inclusion, ensure the successful delivery and organisation of the Paralympic Games and act as the international federation for 10 Para sports. Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (KEEN)
KEEN Los Angels is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and is an affiliate of KEEN USA headquartered in Washington, DC. KEEN Los Angeles' local Board of Directors is comprised of community leaders, parents and volunteers with the purpose of providing skills and expertise to the organization helping to ensure that it remains true to KEEN’s mission: providing free recreational opportunities to children and young adults with disabilities by pairing them with trained volunteers for fun, noncompetitive activities.
KEEN is modeled on an innovative program established in Oxford, England by Elliott Portnoy, who brought KEEN to the Washington, DC area in 1992. With help from a handful of parents and volunteers, KEEN started as a single program. Now, because of our careful attention to the needs of our athletes and their families, and our volunteers, KEEN serves hundreds of young people with disabilities and offers a wide range of programs and activities. LA 2028's vision is to host a new games for a new era that benefit our communities and connect the olympic and paralympic movements to the future. LA 2028 is about what's possible when you follow the sun.
