The City of Los Angeles Department on Disability, in collaboration with the Department of Cultural Affairs, presents the Eighteenth Annual Disability Art Exhibition. This year – 2025 – marks both the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the 80th anniversary of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM).

In celebration of the ADA 35, we are featuring artists from the ADA 35 Disability Art Showcase held in July.

In October, we celebrate NDEAM, which brings attention to disability employment and celebrates the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities. This year’s theme, “Celebrating Value and Talent,” recognizes the many contributions of people with disabilities, including those with mental health conditions and other nonobvious disabilities, to America’s workplaces and economy.

It is a privilege to showcase disabled artists and the organizations that support the artistic talent and abilities of youth and adults with disabilities. By exhibiting these works, we promote disabled artists; access to artistic expression and the development of marketable skills to achieve financial empowerment.
