The City of Los Angeles is updating its Citywide Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan.
As part of this process, the City is reviewing its programs, services, activities, facilities, and information to identify barriers that may affect people with disabilities. This includes looking at physical accessibility, communication access, digital accessibility, policies, procedures, and how City programs and services are provided.
The Self-Evaluation will help the City identify what is working well and where accessibility improvements are needed. Based on the findings, the City will update its Transition Plan to identify steps for addressing accessibility barriers, setting priorities, and tracking progress over time.
Public input is an important part of this process. Through the ADA Public Input Survey and public hearing, the City invited community members, people with disabilities, caregivers, advocates, and organizations led by and for people with disabilities to share their experiences with City of Los Angeles programs, services, activities, facilities, and information.
Feedback received will help the City identify accessibility barriers and prioritize opportunities for improvement.

The City of Los Angeles ADA Public Input Survey closed on October 30, 2026.
Thank you to everyone who participated and shared their experiences, feedback, and recommendations. Your input will help the City identify accessibility barriers, prioritize improvements, and guide updates to its ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan.
Although the survey is now closed, community members may continue to share accessibility concerns or provide additional feedback by contacting the Department on Disability.

Public Hearing
On September 17, 2026, the City of Los Angeles Commission on Disability held a public hearing to hear directly from community members about accessibility barriers, experiences, and priorities.
Feedback received through the public hearing and ADA Public Input Survey will help inform the City's ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan update.

Request an Accommodation
The City of Los Angeles provides disability-related accommodations, including auxiliary aids and services, upon request.

Requests should be submitted at least five business days in advance to allow sufficient time for coordination. The City will make every effort to accommodate requests received with less notice.
