Public Hearing on Accessible Transportation for the 2028 Games and Other Upcoming Major Events in Los Angeles
The City of Los Angeles Commission on Disability invites you to participate in a public hearing focused on accessible transportation planning for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and other upcoming major events in Los Angeles.
Community input will help inform discussions around how people with disabilities travel to, from, and around large-scale events throughout the city.
Hearing Objectives
We are seeking public feedback on several critical areas, including but not limited to:
- Policy recommendations to ensure equitable and seamless transportation experiences for individuals with disabilities traveling to, from, and between Olympic and Paralympic venues.
- The accessibility and availability of bus, rail, and paratransit services for Games attendees with disabilities, including station access, onboard features, and staff assistance.
- Challenges and opportunities related to accessible rideshare options during the 2028 Games, including vehicle availability, booking processes, and driver training.
- Public perspectives on the future role and accessibility design of emerging transportation modes, such as Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) aircraft, commonly referred to as flying taxis, in the context of the 2028 events.
